When Becka started filming on YouTube 3+ years ago, maybe 100 people watched at max and the idea of making money off it was an idea as distant as us buying our boat earlier this year. Filming and editing was purely a creative outlet and an online memory cache and nothing more. Then, we bought Teulu and somehow, people were interested enough to keep watching us and our channel grew. Eventually, six months after becoming monetised, Becka quit her full time job. Was it a massive risk and mildly terrifying at points her doing this? Absolutely. Owning a boat (which is constantly trying to destroy itself) and seeing our friends in their 20’s with careers and mortgages and a steady reliable income did occasionally send alarm bells ringing in our heads. But, we very much live by the philosophy that if you risk nothing, you risk everything. And so, here we are, living our dream, albeit, not being millionaires.

THE TRIBE

Money aside, we are fortunate enough to have built this incredible community of other likeminded people, or as we like to call them ‘The Tribe’. We cannot begin to explain how grateful we are for the help, advice and support people have given us over the last six months. It has restored our faith in humanity tenfold. If you have enjoyed any of our free vids over the last little while, we are so pleased! To support us, you need to do nothing different, as seeing our videos get views and comments is so incredibly rewarding in itself. However, if you fancy owning a piece of merch or buying us a metaphorical coffee (also explained below), keep scrolling to see how.

If you want to be a true part of the Tribe, please consider joining us over on Patreon. We post the vids early, film our weekly Teulu Tell Us (a real-time catchup), have merch discounts, live streams and so much more.

Do you want to wear the tribe logo, whilst being comfortable and cool in organic cotton? Sounds like you need to head over to the store and get yourself a Teulu Tee!

We actually don’t tend to buy coffees out much as boats are expensive and we need to save every penny we can, so rest assured that by ‘buying us a coffee’, you instead are buying us an anode, screw or other useful item for Teulu!
